What preparations do you need to make before product printing

each unit will have a variety of promotional materials, product packaging, product descriptions, etc. to be printed, but most units do not know how to print, so they are unable to prepare the required materials before printing, which has completely caused a lot of unnecessary trouble. Here we will focus on introducing the problems to be considered and the materials to be prepared before printing

1. Before going out for printing, you should first select the printing method, because each printing method uses different paper, ink and printing machine, different processes, different printing effects, different materials to be provided, and different printing prices. For example, ordinary offset printing (hereinafter referred to as offset printing) is selected for general advertising pages and the company's product introduction, offset printing or silk printing (hereinafter referred to as silk printing) can be selected for corrugated packaging, gravure printing (hereinafter referred to as gravure printing) or flexographic printing (hereinafter referred to as flexographic printing) can be selected for plastic film flexible packaging, and silk printing or large-scale inkjet printing can be selected for giant color advertising printing, Curved surface articles can be selected from relief polymer lotion for different types of polymer monomers (referred to as embossing), gravure or silk screen printing, etc

2. Before the computer design and production, it is necessary to prepare the text manuscript and image manuscript required in the production (including the company logo and the registered trademark of the product required for the production. The image should be clear, preferably the reverse film and photo. The printed manuscript produced by the printer cannot be used as the image manuscript because of its low resolution and poor scanning effect), color requirements (mainly the unchangeable color, and it is better to mark the value of CMYK). If the page has been designed, It is necessary to provide detailed layout, including page size, image size, text size and color, color block size and color. The color mentioned here is best marked with CMYK value

3. When designing your own page, you should pay attention to the selection of finished product size. Before determining the size of the finished product, it is necessary to decide how many pieces of machine to use for printing and what paper to use (large size paper or positive size paper). How many pages can be arranged on a piece of paper. If the size is not appropriate and the arrangement on a piece of paper is insufficient due to domestic and foreign problems, it will cause a waste of paper

4. Before production and output, it is also necessary to confirm the number of colors printed and whether there is a spot color. Generally, the printing is four colors, namely CMYK four colors. Printing completes the reproduction of various colors in nature through the superposition of these four colors. However, in some cases, some spot colors, such as gold and silver, can be added to copy the colors that are difficult to be displayed by four-color superposition. At the same time, when the use of spot colors can reduce the number of printing colors, spot colors can also be used. For example, there are only red and black colors in the page, and red is generally represented by m+y. in this way, three colors are required for printing, and two-color printing with spot color red can save part of the cost

5. If you have finished the production, you only need to output and print. The resolution required by each printing process is different, but the required file mode is CMYK, and RGB mode cannot be used for output. Ordinary offset printing generally requires more than 133lpi output, so the image is required to be more than 260dpi, and low resolution will affect the printing effect; Silk screen printing generally requires a low number of output lines, about 30lpi--60lpi, so the requirements for image resolution are also low, generally around 100dpi; The requirements for flexo printing shall be selected according to the printing materials. Generally, the image resolution of corrugated paper is 120dpi--150dpi, that of paper is 150dpi--180dpi, that of coating paper and self-adhesive paper is 180dpi--200dpi, that of plastic and metal film is 200dpi--260dpi, and that of general point printing is more than 260dpi

6. You also need to pay attention to bleeding, embossing, trapping and other issues when making your own pages

in addition, it is also important to consider the number of copies to be printed before printing. The starting number of printing plants varies with different printing methods (the starting number refers to the printing cost except for the cost of paper. The lowest price of other costs is calculated according to the mechanical properties of the high molecular polymer with the widest range of variability among all known materials). For example, the initial printing quantity of offset printing is 3000 and 5000, and the unit price of printing is relatively high if the printing quantity is lower than this; The starting number of silk screen printing is 300, and the printing resistance rate of silk is 3000 (the printing resistance rate refers to the maximum number of silk that can be printed). If more than 3000, the silk needs to be replaced

these are all the issues you need to consider before printing. Only after you consider these issues clearly can you get a satisfactory print within the desired time
